Interleague play is fun for the fans as we get to see American League teams take on National League teams. A couple of interesting match-ups this week were Boston hosting Milwaukee and the New York Yankees against the Chicago Cubs. The Red Sox have continued to stay hot as they maintain the best record in the American League. The Philadelphia Phillies have been equally as hot as they still have the best record in major league baseball. There are a couple of interesting streaks going on; the Minnesota Twins have won seven in a row and nine of their last ten and the Florida Marlins have lost ten in a row. Let's take a look at this week's power rankings.
1. Boston Red Sox: No reason to remove them as they have won 13 of their last 15 games including 2 of 3 against the NL Central leaders.
2. Philadelphia Phillies: They still have the best record in the majors, but they're not ready to take the top spot.
3. New York Yankees: Even with their shaky pitching staff, they're still pumping out win after win.
4. Cleveland Indians: After a slump, they have now won three in a row and remain in first place in the Central.
5. Atlanta Braves: They have cooled off, but Jason Heyward is back in the lineup. Hopefully Tommy Hanson won't be out too long.
6. Milwaukee Brewers: They ran into a red hot Red Sox team, but they are for real.
7. Tampa Bay Rays: They have the bad luck of being in the AL East. Their future is bright, but they're more competitive than I thought they would be.
8. Detroit Tigers: Justin Verlander and Miguel Cabrera are keeping this team in the thick of things.
9. St. Louis Cardinals: They're struggling, but have won two in a row now. Matt Holliday is back and looks like he hasn't missed a beat.
10. San Francisco Giants: They have lost four in a row and have a tough time on the road, but they are still the leaders in the NL West
On the bubble: Cincinnati Reds, Texas Rangers, Seattle Mariners, Toronto Blue Jays, Colorado Rockies

Thanks, Adam. The Twins will be in the power rankings if they keep it up. It's hard to put them in the top 10 or even on the bubble when they're still eight games below .500. My power rankings are a combination of current standings and winning streaks. Opinions vary from person to person so I understand I will see some criticism.
No matter how you slice it, the Reds are two games behind the Cardinals. Every team hits a bump or two, but that doesn't mean they (Cardinals) should be out of the top 10. As for Atlanta, they're still tied for the second best record in the NL as of right now. Thanks for your comment.
