With Tigers Woods capturing his first PGA Tournament title in 923 days this past weekend at Bay Hill, all the attention has turned to The Masters, and whether or not Woods can win his first Major in nearly four years. Officially set to begin on Thursday, April 5, the 2012 Masters is expected to be one of the most highly anticipated in recent memory.

Word on the street is that Woods made a “scouting trip” to Augusta National in mid-March, and will spend this off-week at his home in Jupiter Island, Florida, no preparing himself for what he hopes to be a comeback weekend. Woods will arrive in Augusta on Sunday, with the Masters Golf Tournament practice rounds set to begin Monday, April 2 and running through Wednesday, April 4. Fans that can’t secure badges to any of the actual tournament rounds, can attend the practice rounds, and they are expected to be out in full force to watch Woods warm-up.

The 2012 Tournament will be the 76th edition of the tournament, which is one of professional golf’s four main “Majors”. The winner of the prestigious tournament is presented with a Green Jacket, of which Woods already has four of, although none since 2005. Last year’s Masters champion, Charl Schwartzel, along with Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and a host of others will try to keep that winless streak alive. If Tiger is indeed “back”, they can try all they want, and won’t be able to beat Woods.
