Some say Mixed Martial Arts has surpassed boxing in mainstream popularity, and unfortunately for those who prefer pugilism, they’re probably right. Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Don King, and crooked judges started the demise, and Floyd Mayweather Jr’s refusal to fight Manny Pacquiao has perpetuated it. That doesn’t mean people have forgotten about the sweet science, though, and it certainly doesn’t mean fans have stopped clamoring for the next great title fight.

The Heavyweight division is currently still dominated by the Klitschko Brothers, Wladimir and Vitali, while contenders like Tomas Adamek and Chris Arreola have yet prove they are serious threats to belt. At the Light Heavyweight level, the 40-something year old Bernard Hopkins still amazingly holds the WBC belt, while Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is the man in the Middleweight division, with Marco Antonio Rubio posing the biggest threat to Chavez’s crown.
