Alabama Crimson Tide

vs

Louisiana State Tigers

BCS National Championship Game

Sunday - January 8th, 2012

It’s the rematch to end all rematches. The LSU Tigers, perfect thus far on the 2011-2012 season, will be taking on SEC rival Alabama Crimson Tide in the BCS Championship Game. The two faced off on November 5 at Bryant-Denny Stadium with Alabama ranked #1 and LSU #2. The Tigers came away with a 9-6 victory in which the Tide missed four field goals.

The rematch is set for Monday January 9 at the Superdome in New Orleans, a short trip for the fan bases of both teams. The streets of New Orleans are sure to be packed from bar to bar for the week leading up to the game, and BCS National Championship Tickets are the single hardest ticket to procure this time of year. You can still find available seats on the secondary tickets market, but you’ll have to act fast as both Alabama and LSU have among the largest and most loyal fan bases in all of College Football.

The key to the matchup is obvious – which team’s offense can score a touchdown against the other’s defense. Neither could manage in the first game, and you’d think that with the way these two defenses are playing, a single touchdown might provide enough cushion to capture a victory, and thus a National Championship. One thing is for sure, an Alabama vs. LSU BCS Championship game is truly a reflection of the top two teams in the country, and promises to illustrate smash-mouth football at its finest.
