The Outback Bowl has a rich tradition of ringing in the new year with style. The game is played on January 1 each year and often provides some of the most exciting action throughout bowl season. Each year since 1999, the game has been played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. The Outback Bowl matches the SEC against the Big Ten. The Outback committee gets the third choice for SEC and Big Ten teams. Each school will receive a minimum of $3.3 million for participating in the game. These teams will have their last chance to prove bragging rights between the two powerhouse conferences at the 2013 Outback Bowl.
Tickets go on sale to the public on September 1. These tickets typically sell very fast, but don’t worry. The game will air live on ABC for anyone who is not able to attend.
